Staff Expectations & Core Duties
Rule Mastery & Role Modeling
Know the Rules: Staff are expected to thoroughly study and master all server rules. Ignorance of important rule changes is not an excuse; you must stay up to date at all times.
Lead by Example: You are expected to strictly follow the rules and act as an exemplary player for the community.
Professionalism: Maintain a respectful, mature, and level-headed demeanor in every situation. Keep your personal opinions about others to yourself.
Public Image: Conduct your duties maturely. Refrain from swearing atplayers or engaging in distasteful behavior that could give the server a bad reputation.
Handling Sits & Discipline
Prompt Action: Respond to a player's call for help as quickly as possible. Do not wait for someone else to take the ticket—it is your job to assist players in need.
Fair Discipline: Discipline players fairly and logically. Do not rush to extreme measures or issue severe ban lengths without a valid reason.
Conflict of Interest: Never conduct an admin sit in which you are directly involved. You must hand the situation over to another unbiased staff member to deal with fairly.
Sit Interference: Do not interfere with another staff member's active sit unless you are explicitly asked to help.
Teamwork & Chain of Command
Equality: We are a team. Treat each other as equals and never act bossy towards your fellow staff members.
Mentoring Peers: Actively assist inexperienced staff members. If you watch a junior member do something wrong and fail to correct them, you will be held equally responsible.
Respecting Leadership: You must respect the final decisions of the Owners and the Head of Staff.
No Begging: Staff are expected not to ask or hint for promotions in any way, shape, or form.
Meeting Attendance: You are expected to attend every scheduled staff meeting accordingly. We understand real life comes first however.
Server Loyalty: You must show loyalty to this server. Being affiliated with or staffing for another community is strictly prohibited.
Code of Conduct
Staff Image: It is vital that you maintain an air of responsibility. Chat spamming, arguing, provoking hate, or randomly using powers is strictly forbidden. You represent our server and community.
Communication: Teamwork keeps the server stable. Actively participate in staff discussions (especially regarding the server's future) and ensure important news is spread throughout the staff team.
Community Activeness: Try to spend at least a few hours a day on the server and Discord to stay involved and up-to-date with community changes.
Discord Etiquette: Active Discord presence is essential, even if you do not have a microphone. You must behave properly on all platforms. Those with Discord moderation ranks must treat their powers with care and respect.
Inactivity: All periods of inactivity must be reported in the appropriate Discord channel to prevent unnecessary demotions.
Permanent Bans: Permanent bans should only be issued for extreme offenses: crashing/attempting to crash the server, using cheats/hacks, impersonating players, or threatening to DDoS. Before banning, confirm the player is not brand new and understands the rules.
Promotions: There is a strict minimum cooldown of 14 days between each promotion. All promotions must be logged in the #promotion-reports Discord channel. Failure to comply will result in the promotion being revoked.
Events: In-game events can only be hosted under the direct supervision of a Head of Staff.
Mentoring: Official mentoring is strictly the duty of a Head of Staff (the most experienced personnel) unless permission is granted otherwise. Heads of Staff are required to mentor a staff member if requested.
Terms of Abuse (Zero Tolerance)
Committing any of the following infractions is considered Administrative Abuse.
Off-Duty Powers: Using your powers on a player outside of an active admin situation.
Utility Abuse: Using utility commands (Godmode, Unlimited Ammo, Invisibility, etc.) on any player who is not a member of staff.
Economy Abuse: Giving away money, weapons, gold, or other items to players for free.
Unjust Punishment: Punishing a player without a valid reason, or entering incorrect/joke reasons for a kick, warning, or ban.
Spawning Items: Spawning Entities, SWEPs, NPCs, etc., without explicit permission or a valid administrative reason.
Misinformation: Incorrectly explaining the rules to a player or another member of staff.
Warning Tampering: Removing a player's warnings that were issued by another staff member without gaining permission first.
Punishing Staff: Using your powers to punish other members of staff. If a staff member breaks a rule, you must follow the "Record and Report" policy.
Disrespecting Staff: Making hateful or rude comments toward another member of staff. This will absolutely not be tolerated.
